Hey guys I'm sorry I've been away for some time. Promise to get that fixed.

Here are the updates from the past few weeks:

I just got my first song with 5 reviews! The Death Ride has become an official piece of Tin3Sn history. Thank you to whoever gave me that 5th review, please feel free to respond. I won't judge you, pinkie-swear~! Thank you also AM-ZYNK for your review.

My Christmas album is nearly finished. Down to the last two tracks, but mostly one. Just a few more days of work and a few more weeks of waiting and you guys will get to see it (or... hear it I guess?). Troisnyx, I will send you a confirmation message just before emailing it to you.

Two new songs are in the mix! One Halloween, the other more general Autumn themed. You'll love them both, I think they have potential to get the front-page! Prepare to be spooked, Newgrounds....

I have a new social media account! Just created an account on Bluesky for more general audience, do follow! I always appreciate a new fan. PS: All my twitter followers, just go either there or here to see my updates. Okay?

We are officially in Autumn! Autumn at my place has been Summer mixed with the occasional falling leaf and cold. But we're getting there I think. It's just time before nature makes its moves and brings us into winter. Trying also to indulge in Halloween. Maybe more on that in later posts.

But yeah I'm sorry I was away for some time. Hopefully you guys get the scoop from this! I look forward to these next few weeks, you're gonna get some cool stuff. Stay tuned!

I've been working on this for some time now, but I think now is the time to share it. It's my first real hype-post and I hope it turns out okay:

This year is going to see my first Christmas album ever released to the public!!

Background: I love Christmas. I always have. It's quite literally my favorite time of year and has been for a long time. Without giving too many details away that are better suited for an essay, I've given myself early Christmas fun of sorts by writing my own Christmas albums. They almost exclusively consist of existing Christmas songs redone in my style, and although they all sound very different, there is one thing that binds all of them together, as does it unify my original music. Those of you who can listen carefully to a song might be able to figure out what it is.

I made two Christmas albums before this, one in 2022 and one in 2023. I always started during the Summer, and it gave me a good excuse to do Christmas in July in addition to honing my musical reasoning abilities and giving me something to beat the heat. They've never been shared with anyone in full outside of my family as of when I wrote this and I'm fine with this. I don't plan on distributing them for another few years, at least not until I am established. I need them to be interpreted in context of my later work for them to really take effect.

My 2024 one should give a good sense of what I'm aiming for as a sound even though it is far from done changing. So here's the thing: The album has been underway largely since January, and given the amount of time that it until September of this year, I've tried to make it filled to the brim with great music. Not a single song is filler: I picked a diverse selection of Christmas songs, put as much artistry as I could into each, and arranged all the tracks deliberately so as to constitute the best story possible. I don't expect everyone to enjoy all moments of the album, but I think there is something for a lot of different kinds of people in it.

So what exactly could you expect? Well:

  • A Christmas staple remade in a style perfect for Newgrounds submission. As in, tailor-made for the site.
  • Pop Christmas music becoming a pocket symphony
  • Dark Winter nights becoming snowy Winter mornings
  • A religious carol with lyrics given a far more emotional treatment that it really deserves.
  • Plenty of varied Christmas/Winter imagery.

Among other things.

I don't promise that this is what you will think of my Christmas album. I cannot read your mind and don't want to. But what I can promise is that what I think of my music is represented in this post and that this album will be released by November 1st, just in time for everyone's Christmas festivities to kick off. When I promise this release date, I mean it. I hold myself to strong standards regarding this, and I meet those standards.

I ask that everyone who reads this (especially you AM-ZYNK and Solacitude, my good friends) spread the word as much as possible. It would mean a lot to me. In the mean time, have the best of Halloweens before Christmas!

Best,

Tin3Sn.

Huge news.

I just got friended from none other than audio portal moderator and personal musical giant Troisnyx. It is such an honour to know that a person whose music I can deeply connect with feels that I would be a good friend to them. Seeing the news almost made my heart jump out of my chest.

This opens a lot of doors for me, musically and otherwise. And I want to take this opportunity to thank both Troisnyx and any one of you who have listened to any of my songs and reviewed them. You all have been very nice to me in these past few weeks and your efforts are warmly thanked.

I've got big things coming in the next two months. I think you will enjoy them a lot.

Okay kouhais (friends or pals in Japanese):

I just reached level 3 and noticed that compared to my reviews of other people's, my own submissions are very lacking. I only have two songs and some news posts and I must change that.

If I were to upload some audio to the portal, would you guys want compositions I already made before joining Newgrounds, where there are several of these, or some original material, which I can do but might take a lot of time? Anyone who has heard my music (or for that matter anyone else), feel free to respond.

If they have the time, I really would like to hear from Troisnyx (who seems to know what she is doing with music and is a composer I like a lot), Solacitude (who has been nothing but nice to me about music and my thoughts on his compositions), and AM-ZYNK (my only fan as of right now).

I hope to see you guys with a new song soon.

Best,

Tin3Sn.

Sad news.

The oldest person in the world, Maria Branyas Morera, passed on yesterday morning aged 117. Her passing was confirmed by several sources including Guinness World Records and a tweet on her official account. She had apparently left the world as she wished, peacefully and pain-free.

As someone who enjoys reading inspiring stories about old people like Maria-san, this news devastated me. I had followed her journey ever since she was recognized as the oldest in the world, and judging by her recent photos, she seemed to be very strong for someone her age. She inspired many people to have a positive view of the world and see the elderly in a new light, bringing lots of valuable advice to people even 8+ decades younger than her.

I genuinely expected her to live several years longer given her overall condition, but as I have learned, these supercentenarians, as they are called (people who are 110+), are treasures of the world. Like any of us, their time here is limited. All of this is to say that I am grateful she lived her final years with as much to share as she did and that she passed away without suffering.

RIP Maria Branyas Morera: 4.3.1907-17.08.2024.

Hey-ya everyone! Here's a little bit about me now that I just joined:

* I love Japanese culture! Not just anime, but all of it. I'm even learning the language!

* I have many years of experience writing music ever since I was just 10. That was a long time ago, so I'm now old~

* Beyond writing music, I love reviewing it and I developed my own system. But that is for another time.

Overall, I'm very excited to be here! :)
