It's really cute!
It's really cute!
OK WOW TROIS THIS RULES!
This is just chillingly beautiful, like an autumn rain. It really gives me those later parts of year vibes ironically enough. And you put the 7/4 time to great use. It actually feels like the song is kind of broken in a way, yet still kind of not totally surrendered. What you say about all that pain is actually rather true too. This music really does feel like seeing the light in a way, although it also gives me a lot of other colours to go off of (I am synesthetic).
I love this so much. 7/4 is like my favourite time signature, and I gotta give this a fave!

WOW!
You did this in Mario Paint? This sounds like it should be a full-fledged video game theme it's awesome. Your style continues to influence me so deeply, even 13 years after you made this. in ways you may not have anticipated.
I like the use of 5/4. It doesn't always have to be like this (think something like Muse - Animals), but here, you really use it to bring the thunder well. The 3-3-2-2 rhythm is very full of life here. Beyond that, not much else to say. I really like the way this is all put together. You did good on the thunder imagery. It feels bright and dark at the same time.
Thank you so much!
Have you heard the newer version of it perchance? It's not a full remake, but I love what I did on the piano there and it feels like a fulfilment of the original
Welcome back, legend!
This is a worthy as hell way to start it off. Like EBF were still alive today.
Thanks!
Hey it's good to see you again!
So... I see you're still at your classical, Western side. I really miss your anime side, and respectfully, classical is becoming less and less my thing (it's a long, messy story I can tell you about someday). I'll keep listening, but my favorite stuff from you will either be Ghibli-esque or in an odd time signature.
Here's my thoughts:
You really nailed the timing. I read your text as the piece played, and you nailed that story! I could feel the spirits coming, the stories told, all of it was lovely. This is a challenge I suspected you would be really good at, and this didn't disappointment. You caught it just in the nic of time too, wouldn't have wanted you to miss this~
Beyond that, great performance as always. I also really like your use of key changes. Didn't pick up on it the first time, but it really works. Nice chords too!
Great work! I hope this places high in the final results. And do check out mine, Powerfully Stricken, as well!

It's been a little while you're right, 3 months since the last piece I published! I plan on -trying- publishing at least once every 1 or 2 months. I had to get used to a new keyboard and FL Studio at same time, but getting the hang of it slowly but surely!
I'm glad you liked this one, and felt it fits the story as well! Also nice thing you didn't notice key change at first, I'll take it as a sign that it's implemented seamlessly enough :)
I sure love composing in a neoclassical style, but be sure I'll come back at some point with more pop/ballad/Ghibli-esque kind of pieces. Thanks for the kind words!
Hey ADR3-N it's good to see you active here!
I like this A LOT! Feels like something straight out of pre-2015 Newgrounds (the best of days for gaming), which is actually just what I wanted in this moment. I'm really happy~!
So, um... the best part of the song is probably that chord sequence at around 2:04 and then lasts another minute. Always big for those magical chord progressions (actually working on a song with one right now).
A couple criticisms though: One, this does feel a bit too long. It's not really developing enough by the end to warrant being that long in my mind. Two, why was this called a Gregorian house song? It didn't feel too ancient-y to me (for the record something like: https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1015214 is what I might call Gregorian).
Beyond that this is amazing! You deserve me to give your vocal stuff attention, it is why I gave you that friend request after all~. :D

HEY! This track actually came out of the depths of my many references and samples. I found a slap-house pack in my archives. It reminded me of a meme I saw once upon a time -- the gregorian house meme of that one Toblerone anime.
Slap house is a genre that is particularly popular in Russia, has been for a while as well as commercial deep house. I've wanted to experiment with it for a long time. It's typically fairly simple in terms of rhythm and structure, focusing on groove and sound design. One of the many things I like about it! I still couldn't resist switching it up a bit at 2:04 with some chromaticism and olskool raw house samples, the kind that you find in old breakbeat.
As for why it's Gregorian, well, the choir, and I built the entire track off of said choir's chord progressions.
Don't worry -- I have a song coming up that's going to make you very happy, vocally speaking. It's a cover of t.A.T.u's "Sacrifice", in the same singing style as Clouds. Well, minus rapping xD
PS: thanks for the criticism and recommendation! Checking out now
TeffyD I love this! It's so jaunty and cute, totally feeling like a retro game (king of reminds me of this game called Drop Sum in a lot of ways). Happy Pixel Day!

(PS: I hope I can put something out too. You've definitely inspired me a lot!)
Okay.
This sounds more like lounge music than outright jazz. It sounds really robotic too, although not necessarily in a bad way.
I do like what you're doing with the melodies though. It does shout jazz to my ears quite a bit.
I'll give you a 3.5. This isn't a supremely amazing composition in my eyes, but it definitely works.

Very cozy! Feels exactly like snowfall!
This is an amazing cover! This is a carol that doesn't get enough attention, but you guys really did a great job with this rock vibe!

I was poring through some classic tunes to find ideas and the second I listened to this one the vision hit me like a ton of bricks
