Happy 8 years of Hexennacht!
Happy 8 years of Hexennacht!
Hmm this sounds more a mix of Ghibli and Chopin rather than pop. I
I did however very much get the idea of fate in this piece. It feels like being out at night in late Autumn or early Winter and falling in love with someone as the wind blows. Performance great as usual. The mix of both styles I mentioned was also very-well done. First half was more Ghibli, second half more Western, but both had elements of each.
Great job!

Sounds good.
I was definitely able to feel the wind in this through the arpeggios. And great performance too.
Nice work!
-Tin3Sn.
I'm glad the arpeggios helped to evoke an idea of the wind.
Thank you very much for the kind words!
OMG Waterflame uploaded an absolute shredder of a song!
Great chorus at 1:09. Had me tapping my toes all the way. Nice piano too.
Waterflame you never fail to impress us!

Sounds great.
I love songs in Japanese, and this totally sounds like an anime OST! It's got epic instrumentation and a great melody too.
Great job on this!

Some 11 years after this was released and here are my thoughts:
Lovely lovely lovely!!!
This song feels like you're singing to me in a way that's exactly meant for the night. Not just like a lullaby in general to put one to sleep, but one meant exactly for the night, that time of mystic and beauty. I'm 18 and I still felt like a baby being sung to sleep. I nearly cried at how beautiful this was. Something about those lyrics over this melody is just magic.
As for the instrumentation I agree with everything people have said. Especially with Step. This is wonderful in every way possible. It feels like you took a simple melody and made it an orchestral wonder of your own.
Thank you and Phyrnna for showing me that there is still light in the world, even if I only found out about this 11 years after its release. It surprises me very little that this did well in the NGAP 10th Anniversary.

Great work!
This sounds great! It mixes orchestral and electronic so well. Oh man, this reminds me of Phyrnna, it's quite close to something she would have written. I agree with Creeperforce: Waterflame, you should write some solo music. I loved Rocket Race in SFH.

Aaaah an early Christmas gift! Thank you so much~!!!!
Christmas is coming, I hope. Christmas just can't seem to come soon enough this year, can it? Always seems to come a little late.
Really, though. This is a beautiful piece in all ways of the word. Makes me think of parties with friends, beautiful snowfalls, and most of all the wonderful Santa-san who gives our lives so much meaning.
This gives me hope and joy that Christmas will be beautiful this year. It's something I really needed right now, and I express my thanks of that through giving this a favorite and five star review. Gee are you Santa Claus~? :D
Great work! And Merry Christmas!

Update: Some of my friends heard this. They both love it, one even said "It sounds like the intro to a Hallmark movie".
Ah wow I like this a lot!
This sounds like a spooky ragtime parlour and it's awesome. Totally could fit a horror game with a western feel. Nice to see you exploring some new styles here my friend! You're doing good with this madness feel.
Happy Madness Day. I might actually upload something, I feel inspired because of you!
-Tin3Sn.
There's effectively a couple ragtime techniques involved, I'm glad you noticed! And a bunch of madness as well, I tried my best to infuse a mad flavor to it. Horror/spooky is exactly the effect I wanted to create, if you perceive it, it's excellent! :D
Thank you very much for the review!
Oooh spooky... Teh heh heh Is it Halloween already~?
This sounds modernist, almost like a cross between Stravisnky and a nightmare-ified Mozart (yes that is a word!). It has a good use of dissonance. It makes the music sound weird but not terrible.
Great job, Solacitude-san and I am absolutely going to review your other "Wicked" song too!
-Tin3Sn.
It sure has a Halloween vibe!
I tried to go as random as possible while trying to keep it musically interesting. It was a pretty weird exercise, and very interesting. It's not as random as it may appear first. I recorded about 30 minutes of weird atonal improvisation and this was the best of it. I'm glad you appreciated!
